Why everyone keeps coming back.

Hunger Burger, located conveniently at 1136 Arch St #427 in Philadelphia, is a standout fast food destination that skillfully blends classic American favorites with a Mediterranean twist. This vibrant spot thrives in a bustling market setting, offering a quick yet satisfying dining experience perfect for anyone on the go or craving a flavorful meal in a casual environment.

The menu is a celebration of comfort food elevated by quality and creativity. Their iconic burgers boast thin, crispy patties infused with bold, savory flavors, delivering an irresistible crunch with every bite. Patrons consistently praise the perfectly cooked patties that manage to be juicy without being heavy, making each burger a delightfully balanced treat. Complementing the burgers are the fries—especially the crinkle-cut variety—that arrive piping hot, with a crisp exterior and tender interior, proving that Hunger Burger knows how to master the art of the side dish.

For those seeking something a little heartier, the Mac 'N' Cheese stands out with its rich, creamy texture, while the Lobster Mac 'N' Cheese offers an indulgent upgrade for a truly decadent experience. The scalloped potatoes also provide a comforting, savory warmth that pairs wonderfully with the main dishes. Those craving a twist on a classic will appreciate the Grilled Philly Dog, featuring 100% all-natural beef—free from hormones and antibiotics—delivering a smoky, satisfying bite.

The beverage selection includes indulgent Ice Cream Milk Shakes priced at $9.06, perfect for cooling down after a spicy chipotle ketchup-laden burger or just as a sweet finale to your meal. Speaking of sauces, the chipotle ketchup is a hidden gem for those who enjoy a spicy kick, adding an exciting depth of flavor that takes Hunger Burger’s offerings to the next level.

What truly elevates Hunger Burger is not just the food, but the atmosphere and service. Guests have noted the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, creating a welcoming environment even during busy rush hours. Whether you’re stopping by after a busy afternoon or grabbing a quick bite during your market visit, the team here makes you feel valued and well-taken care of. The setting itself—right in the heart of the Philadelphia market scene—adds a lively, urban charm, making every visit an enjoyable adventure.

While some reviews point out that prices can be a touch higher compared to other fast food spots, many customers find the quality and unique flavor profiles more than worth it. The portion sizes might lean towards the smaller side, which suits a fast-casual style dining experience where the emphasis is on fresh, thoughtful preparation rather than oversized servings.

In summary, Hunger Burger is a must-try for burger aficionados and comfort food lovers alike who appreciate a creative edge, friendly service, and a vibrant market atmosphere. Whether you’re craving a crisp, flavorful burger, crave the nostalgia of perfectly seasoned crinkle fries, or want to indulge in creamy, cheesy sides, this spot delivers it all with heart and skill.

I love fries. And, more specifically, crinkle fries. (Weirdly hard to find.) Stopped by this spot on a Tuesday about 4p.m. and my crinkle fries were hot, perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft on the in. Salt check. Efficient staff. Dialed in all around. I live in Philly and stop into the market on occasion. Glad I did today. Perfecto!

I never leave reviews but this place was so good I had to. I’ve came here two times; gotten the same thing, and loved it both times. Even during busy rush hour, they cooked up an amazing burger in 15 minutes tops. The patties are thin, crisp, and flavorful. The fries are top notch super crispy. Don’t forget to try some chipotle ketchup if you are into spicy. Definitely recommend a basic style burger here. Staff were friendly and even gave me a side of ketchup when asked. 10/10 definitely craving this burger joint again

I stopped by this fast food spot while I was short on time but still wanted to try something. The guy at the register was incredibly patient and helpful, especially since I was a bit indecisive and in a rush. He recommended the Burger Loaded Fries, which were delicious and very filling. I believe they were supposed to come with bacon bits (I didn’t notice any) but it honestly wasn’t an issue. Great service and a solid meal!

It’s pretty good here. My complaint is price. For a regular Mac n cheese it’s about $7.50, which is a bit much in my opinion. If you get the lobster Mac n cheese it’s around 12-13. While the employees are nice, the side dishes tend to fall short in flavor for me. I think the burgers are pretty good, but they are on the small side in terms of portion. If you’re here it’s definitely not the first place you should go, but it’s not bad.

The food here was decent. I got the Yolk burger and the yolk of the egg was pretty much hard... the bacon cheese fries were great, however, the face that they had no refills on their drinks seemed a little silly to me. I really enjoyed the fact that with every burger purchased they donate to kids in need.

Tried the Philbert Burger at Hunger Burger in the Reading Terminal Market. It’s a SmashBurger and it was awesome! Service was friendly, place was busy and the food was served hot and fresh. The Philbert is basically a bacon cheese burger. I added fried onions and mustard, along with the ketchup and mayo that is part of the burger.

Hunger Burger always has very long lines but it’s definitely worth the hype and wait. The burgers are absolutely delicious and always cooked to perfection. It’s one of my new favorite spots to go when I’m in Reading Terminal. Their lobster Mac and cheese is also really good. Love this place!
